ASTM A672 EFW Pipe
Electric-Fusion-Welded Steel Pipe for High-Pressure Service
ASTM A672 is the standard specification for electric-fusion-welded (EFW) steel pipe, fabricated from pressure-vessel quality plate of several analyses and strength levels. These pipes are intended for high-pressure service at moderate temperatures. Similar to A671, A672 is used primarily for large-diameter piping where high structural integrity and the ability to handle high internal pressures are required. It is widely used in steam lines and chemical processing units.
